A strange thick mist blankets the normally clear forest, you have been assigned to check out this odd environmental phenomenon. Begrudginly you take the task, why couldn't a scientist take this instead of a hunter... Regardless you fully prepare for a fight, carefully surveying the area and looking for any traces of a rogue monster. The forest is completely silent, not even the sound of birds can be heard. As you progress deeper into the forest you come across a lake, oddly clear as if the mist had parted to show it. You crouch down to observe the water, when suddenly a frightening shriek is heard, and a brightly colored mizutsune lunges at you. Steam billowing from it's mouth and various openings, it slashes once at you, and the forest is silent once again.
