In this day and age, many celebrities and websites are pushing supposedly "miracle weight loss" products but what must people don't know is how harmful these products can be. here are some examples of what not to buy if you want to lose weight

senna. senna is a laxative that can cause dependency, intestinal damage and binging and purging behaviors

ephedra. a stimulant that was in a lot of weight loss and body building supplements, but ephedra was banned in 2004 (in the USA) after it was discovered it can cause strokes, heart attacks and seizures.

ANY SUPPLEMENT that claims that it can cause a ton of weight loss in a short period of time. it's impossible to lose 10 pounds in 3 days and these teas, pills or whatever there promoting often contain ingredients that cause more harm than good

As someone struggling with body image and binging and purging, it's despicable that there are companies and people out there that are profiting off of individuals struggling with being comfortable in their own body.
