If there are skills I don't have, I know people who have them and who I can give money to get exactly what I want, not just some rough approximation, and I help other people out.
Or I learn this skill and gradually become better myself.
Plus my current creative outlet is miniature painting, where the actual process is more important than sharing some GenAI garbage online. I wanna spend however long it takes me to paint my mini and I want to be happy with my work. The minis I got the most joy out didn't get received as well as some I still liked to paint, but not as much. So what?
Sadly clout is a hell of a drug.

mini painting is HARD, i have some hyena figs i have not even taken out of the package because i'm afraid of working on such a small 3d scale. but for real!!!! exactly!!! id rather support a person who has gone through the effort to learn things. usually because they WANTED to learn how to do something??
like its not 'elitist' to wonder why all these slop jockeys who seem to hate creating and hate learning seem entitled to their laziness being valued exactly the same as someone who does things cuz they like learning, creating, and improving.

I have a box of >>gnoll minis<< (link there is to FA) painted up, here a small selection.
Regarding fear of mini painting, just try it. You cannot hurt the mini with paint, even if you slather the paints on as thickly as possible. Paint strippers are out there, or if you think the paints are thin enough, just give them another base coating and try again. When I got an airbrush I used some old minis to try the tool on, and the first ones sucked, bad airbrush (no pressure, little control, just cheapo garbo), but it was still a lesson learned, and treasured, as I now have a slightly better airbrush xD

A cheap set from Fengda with a small compressor and airbrush is around 60€, and it works well enough. No need to buy a big compressor and pro airbrushes to test things out.
And you can do airbrushing indoors at an open window, while rattle cans would stink your rooms up.

Honestly, has so far. A lot of the way US culture is set up now is designed to keep too tired to do our own stuff (which might include questioning why obvious improvements haven't been made) and too scarce for resources and feuding amongst ourselves to concern with what's happening. Its all been designed.
Wealth inequality in the US is currently worse than it was when Louis XVI abdicated without telling anyone.
And before anyone ever says "what does one vote matter?", two things. If it didn't matter, they wouldn't be trying to stop you. And Louis got an 'extreme haircut' by one vote.

as long as it's engaging my brain, i see no reason to stop doing it?! especially if i LIKE it??
and even if i hated it... i'd probably just find someone ELSE to outsource the work to who DOES like it, because that's how ape together strong??? like if i hated reading i could find audiobooks. if i hated drawing i could commission artists! if i hated email i JUST WOULD NOT REPLY AT LENGTH??? lmfao
