It's not my printer, so I don't know. I looked at the video on your link, and it doesn't work the same way, so I don't think it'es a rep rap !

nooo, repreps cant do color nor have anything close to this resolution. this is a 'real' commercial 3D printer

By the looks of things (since it uses powder), More than likely ZCorp's inkjet and powder systems,, and I'm going to venture a guess either Z450 or Z650 due to being able to print in colour. So, generally seamless, and high detail capable.

There are a variety of combinations out there available for $1,200-$1,300 USD, although the quality isn't anywhere near as high as say, the one used to print Hors3's model. MakerBot ( http://www.makerbot.com/ )is one example, as are ones based off of an MIT student's design (ex: http://botmill.com/index.php/3d-printers.html ).

If you want to make 3D Prints, just get a makerbot, i believe its compatible with every operating system, and its the cheapest 3D printer you can get. Its like $1,200 but thats pretty cheap for a 3D printer. And the software is open source.

it puts down a 0.1mm layer of gypsum powder, then goes over it with a glue and color ink printhead. lower platform 0.1mm and repeat :)
printing one of these take about 5 hour

Question. What is it made of? Does the printer use a form of wax? Is is a resin that is mixed as it prints or heated so it cools and hardens? I guess if I knew the make and model of the printer I can search it on the web.
