A few days ago I was walking around a street market, the kind that usually sets up on weekends, and at a stand labeled “Ropa Americana”(a common term in Mexico for clothing imported from the USA) I came across this jacket. When I first saw it, I was quite surprised, because after taking a closer look I realized it’s an authentic police jacket, manufactured by FECHHEIMER for the Hillview Police Department (HPD).

I checked it carefully and it was practically in perfect condition; it looks like it had very little, if any, use. Honestly, it’s very curious to think about how a jacket that came all the way from Kentucky ended up at a street market here in Mexico. After doing some research, the logo appears to be from around 2017 or earlier, since I noticed they later changed their emblem. It was definitely worth finding.

I plan to keep it well preserved and take good care of it, and I’ll probably use it during the winter season, since where I live it can sometimes get quite cold.
