Another sculpture by me. This one, form wise, is great. However, when it was fired, it should have been a deep iridescent green and brown, with tones of blue and tan and orange. BUT!!! The kiln got too hot and the glaze cooked off, making it a dull sick and blotched teal color. Depressing. But, it still works! I like him.
The piece took about 20 hours to complete. Its made from high grog sculpting clay, and about 50 different glazes. Literally. The spikes took the longest.
