Another spontanous idea. I think the idea behind was a story about a rather small jackal, dog or wolf, who was thrown into the dungeon for steeling food out of hunger, could menage to eascape, but was arrested by elves, while hiding in their forest. Now the captive is afraid to be thrown into the dungeon again.
