So lets say we sit down and write a song that talks about obscure references to various types of situations of everyday life? So "write me a story" makes the reference that since it's a story, it can be fiction or non-fiction so "tell them I'm the best" would make it something very vague and give the listener a since of "what is he really the best at?" This is what challenges the listener's ability to understand the complexity of such a simple piece.

Since I love cars, i started off by describing a situation of going far to fast in illegal situations "I asked myself where my head's at"

"A part of you tries to kill everyone who tries to be." this is supposed to be a linking transition that asks the question on the listener. "why should you fixate yourself on such hostile critique? When a song can be so plot twisting, is it really necessary to rhyme though out the entire piece? Why cant we have two completely different chorus' throughout the piece?
