Arabian Jackal, American Summer
Ayn! She's layin' down on an American flag beach towel, it's not an actual flag. They do make these. Google it.
So, America turns 231 today, happy birthday! I love it. So does Ayn, which is why she's saying "Happy Independence Day, America!" in Arabic. Or, at least it's supposed to. I am by no means fluent in Arabic, so please excuse me if it looks somewhat garbled to those of you who can read it.

well, the first obvious level of the picture is just because she's a cutie, and just so happens to be Arabic (because I find Arabic, Asian and Slavic girls attractive) and I just so happened to make it into a July 4th picture (originally was just gonna be a summer picture). the deeper meaning is yes, I kinda want people to see, on some level, that we're not really hostile with Arabians in general, and vice versa. :D thanks!
Many extremists would point to the picture as representing everything that is wrong with America. Like dogs, skimpy bathing suits, imagination, *that* *flag*, perversity, and lack of respect for their beloved culture. (The rules of grammar for Arabic are after all somewhat complex...) And they would be very right.
And by shear amazing co-incidence, it's also everything that we see wrong with their world. ;)
Nice picture. And lovely sentiment. And happy Cleansing Of The British Empire Day to you too. :P

And on that day, Freedom was celibrated by every true-blooded American. They showed there respect for the contry they loved by blowing up small parts of it.
Thats ok though, 'Cause I got to look at this nice little Aribic Fluffy in her Yummy swimsuit. Now I will hum the teme to 'Jaws'...

Oh wow! This is absolutely fantastic! Your rendering skills are brilliant, I love how the shading has a real soft quality to it. This is one of the the best pieces of art I have seen on this website so far. Seriously. Plus, no one ever draws jackals the proper way, so it's nice to see this for a change ;)
I know this is incredibly old, but I gotta say, I adore this piece. I was an American soldier stationed in Afghanistan when I first came across this and I actually had this posted on my hut-room wall for most of the deployment.
I managed to find it again and it's better than I remember. Lovely work and she's a gorgeous lass.

Hmm...I don't think Arabic even has a sentence for "Happy Independence Day". Though they general purpose [well-wishing for a new year] statement for birthdays and the sort is "كل عام و انت بخير", or in this case, since you're addressing America, it'd be "كل عام و انت بخير يا امريكا".
Don't mind me though. I'm an Arab AND a linguist, these things stand out to me :P
