Bogglyr can come in a variety of colors, here's a general reference! They can obviously come in colors in between and adjacent to these as well, and where they come from is also a factor in their coloration. Generally their sex plays a role in coloration, but this is not always a hard rule. Abnormal chromosomal combinations can result in a male with defender coloration, or an independent with female coloration, etc.
Rules/Facts (these are not hard rules and exceptions are always possible)
- The pupil is almost always a shade of red. It is extremely abnormal for it to be any other color
- Rare color mutations are very uncommon, but highly attractive to bogglyr when they occur. Said bogglyr will likely be revered in the community and many will want to be their mate
- Bogglyr may dye their manes with clay or other natural dyes, resulting in abnormal colors. Naturally, their manes are almost always within a spectrum of dark green/brown/gold/white
- When it is not breeding season, the eye shaped patterns and tips of their spines (for males) will be a duller shade. The colors represented here are when they are at their most vibrant. Sometimes patterns may disappear entirely when bogglyr are not sexually active
Bogglyr are an open species! If you have any questions about them, feel free to ask!
