Unfortunately, the context is scarce to me because what I only know about Rainworld is that it's a video game – end of information. 😅
So, what I can interpret here is that something otherworldly may be happening, where a supernatural being attracts other spirits around himself, maybe intentionally or simply naturally.
The a tag says "knight" which I added the missing eye and now it suggests that he must be warrior and he might have fought for those little ones, and now they might be thanking him for the saving.
Have I nailed any of the true contexts? ^^'

hehe good attempt :D this is a crossover between two games - Rain World and Hollow Knight Silksong. i decided to combine these two in a drawing because i really like both! and i also found some similarities. Artificer from Rain World uses crafted bombs and explosive spears in combat, whereas Hornet from Silksong crafts pouches and tools for combat as well :)
i thought that it would be funny if Artificer could craft things that Hornet can. in this art Artificer is depicted in Hornet's cape and with cogflies from Silksong around, implying that they are her creations ^^
