Here are just some of the babes that Potato popped out!
In a few weeks they'll be looking for homes, so if you are, or if you know somebody within driving distance of Northwestern PA (about an hour east of Erie, right along the NY border), and are interested in a baby hamster, please contact vombatiformes or me!

I know how hard it can be to find homes for them. When I thought Lucy and Ethel (two Winter Whites I adopted while I worked at Petsmart, they'd been dropped off with their brothers after their parents had an "oops" litter) I was all over the internet looking for homes. Thankfully, neither of them turned out to be pregnant.
And I love Syrians, almost as much as rats. I've just never -had- many.

I admit to having been scared of hamsters too, until we got our first one -who was REALLY sweet. I think it just depends on how well they're socialized and personality, just like any other animal. Potato (their mom), for instance, is completely different than Duster (our other hamster), and of a much milder, sweeter, disposition.
