Feel free to check it out on Patreon and read the little story I wrote to go with it! STORY EXCERPT Karen loved taking late-night flights around her hometown. She always came home later than usual, the cold settling into her soft brown fur and each breath making a small puff of smoky air. Still, she never minded. She loved being surrounded by stars, feeling the cold wind on her cheeks and hearing the faint whistle as she sped through the sky, lost among things much bigger than herself. Up there, her worries faded, small and far away.
Since starting at Astral Grove, Karen couldn’t fly as much as before because of the strict broom license rule for first years. Still, she found a way. After classes, she quietly slipped out of the dorms, staying in the shadows to avoid teachers. Over a few days at dusk, she gathered fallen branches from the forest for her broom’s handle and picked long grass for the bristles. In her hidden spot, Karen worked late, tying the bristles by paw and softly encouraging the plants as she worked. When her secret broom was finally ready, all it needed was a test flight...
