M.V - McNeil-Legend L.C.S (Luxury Carrier Ship)
M.V Codex Entry:
StratoLux Modelo.22-35AWC Class [century-year, Armored Weapon Cruiser] & McNeil IMEP.58 (Industrial Material Extraction Platform)
While humanity's ventures into the stars was well plotted and free within their grasp, the exploration of industry of the great unknown was plagued with pirates, raiders, and roving packs of crime flotillas not only from other Humans, but of the other contending present species in the galactic community. An thus, the renaissance of an outdated type of vessel was eventually needed as Humanity spread beyond the UEG's military range: the armed civilian vessel.
One of the companies that cropped up to fill this gap was Statolux. Founded in 2167 in the city of Hesperia, Mars, they became one of the most notable ship manufacturers for the next two centuries. By the 2300s, several of their quality of life technologies had made it into the standard market for space vessels such as their 'RCCS' [Reliant Climax Control System] module and artificial gravity node dampeners.
Much like the armed ocean liners of the end of the seas in 1900, the dedicated armed 'company' cruiser have become less of a mainstay of industry as colonial branches of naval powers have spread proper to protect most within the immediate space around established worlds.
Pictured here is 'ULV #22' [Utility Luxury Vessel] of the now defunct WinRok company fleet, taken two years before the mining company's disbandment in 2304 due to gross ethical work violations. In the background is a McNeil IMEP.58, a common asteroid mining platform meant for breaking down and sifting material from planetary debris
