To the Pipe-Rock Plateau!

It is now the next day, early in the morning. Bowser and co are about to head off, well most of them.

“You sure about staying here Kamek?” Bowser asks.

“Yes my stretchiness. I think that this could be a good opportunity to establish stronger relations with the Flower Kingdom here. Also I should keep an eye on the minions who came with us.”

“I see. That sounds like a good idea.”

“Thank you. Before you do leave take this with you.” Kamek hands him a simple wand.

“What’s this for?”

“It’s so you have some magic on hand to make yourself bigger. About twice as big and 5 uses, so it is limited.”

“I see. I’ll use it when I need it then.”

“May you have a wonderful journey Lord Rubber Bowser.” He does a quick bow and leaves.

“Hey Rubber Bowser are you ready yet!?” Nash shouts from a ways away.

Bowser smiles as he puts the wand away and shouts back. “Yeah I am! Kamek just gave me something for the road here!” He starts making his way back to the others.

“Ok!” Nash replies not as loudly.

Nash gets onto his moped with Dusty hopping on behind him. Dusty has a dark green backpack on him now too. Clearly prepared for the journey. Bowser and his son hop onto his Koopa Clown Car. Everyone gets moving and heads off to their first destination. The Pipe-Rock Plateaus!

Along the way there they go through a seemingly endless fields and hills of flowers. At the end of the long dirt path is a hill with a ledge that’s covered with propeller flowers.

“I guess that this is where you’re going to have to leave behind your ride to get onto the plateau.” Bowser says while stretching his neck and arm out look at the plateau in the distance.

“That's not going to be happening here actually.” Nash says with a sly grin to Bowser. They reveal a hidden button and press it. The wheels turn sideways as it starts to hover above the ground now, with the under carriage and some details on the moped glowing light blue now.

“Thanks to Dusty here my Citty Tripper has been specially modified to hover and fly now.”

“Woah! That’s so cool!” Jr says amazed.

“Yes it is.” Bowser replies a bit grumplly.

They arrive at Pipe-Rock Plateaus!

“Now where would you like to go to first Rubber Bowser?” Nash says to him.

“Hm…” after thinking for a moment. “I’d like to see how you got one of these Wonder Flowers for my elixir!” He declares.

“Ok. We’ll have to leave our rides behind for a while ones we enter the valley so they don’t get trampled by a herd of Bulrush.”

“What are those?” Both Bowser and Jr ask.

They park their rides and go through the valley that sits in the middle of all of these surrounding rock formations everywhere. As they traverse the area which is full of dry grass, hills, blocks, trees every so often, and some Bulrushes. Bowser is easily handling the Bulrushes with his might, fire breath, and rubbery powers so far.

“Ok, we’re here.” Nash point up at some tough blocks with a odd energy coming out of them.

“How do get it?” Jr asks.

“We just have to get a bulrush to charge at one of us on that ramp there.” They point at a naturally formed ramp nearby.

“Go on then.” Bowser says to Nash. They pause confused for a second. “You’ve done this before, so you can do it again. Right?”

“Oh! Yes, easily. However once one of us touches the flower it will cause an unstoppable stampede that we’ll have jump on top of to avoid it.”

“What?” Dusty says sounding startled by the statement.

“Why?” Bowser asks.

“Because when you touch a Wonder Flower all sorts of strange things will happen. That one will cause a stampede.” They point up at it.

“So we can’t avoid it if we want to get it?” Dusty says.

“Nope!”

*sighs* “Ok…”

After everyone gets into position Nash lures a bulrush towards the ramp gets it to jump off and breaks the blocks, freeing the flower. The moment the Flower is touched a pulse of energy or perhaps magic (?) goes out everywhere. The light changes as this wonder power makes everything strange. They then all hear the combined roars of the oncoming bulrush stampede.

“Here it comes!” Nash shouted. Dusty quickly gets onto Nash’s back. Jr gets his brush out just in case. Bowser on the other hand… He smiles and says.

“I’ve had no trouble dealing with these bulrushes so far, so I doubt that a whole stampede could stop me!” He boldly and foolishly declares. He then stretches his body out wide and tall making a wall like shape.

Nash and Jr move in front of Bowser and Nash shouts. “What are you do- Jump now!” They shout to everyone. Nash, Jr, and Dusty all successfully jump onto the stampede.

Bowser overconfident in himself stands his ground. But he is immediately trampled underneath the power of this wonder powered stampede. His screams of regret are quickly muffled and drown out by the stampede as everyone moves forward with the stampede.

“Papa! Nash what do we do!?” Jr asks worriedly.

“We’re going to have to ride this out until we get close to some platform clouds a ways away from here! Then we jump off onto the clouds because there will be wonder seed up there that will end the wonder effect! Which is the stampede!” Nash shouts back.

“What about Papa!?”

“We’re going to have to go back and pick him up off the ground once it’s over!”

“Ok!”

They ride out the stampede the rest of the way. Staying on as the stampede charges forward and occasionally jumps through the air. They arrive to the clouds and jump off and land on top of the clouds as the stampede passes by underneath them.

“Dusty, hop off me now.” He gets off of Nash. “You go and collect that Wonder seed over there. While Jr and I head back to get his foolish and probably flat father.”

“Um, ok.” He says still worked up from the wild ride.

“Alright. Ok Jr hop on!” Jr hops onto Nash’s back and they take off.

Dusty goes over and grabs the seed and all of the wonder effects end. Everything is back to normal now. He sees a very tall flagpole nearby and just lets out a big sigh. He puts the seed into his pack and hops onto the pole, riding it down slowly.

Nash and Jr make it back to where Bowser was and find him completely trampled flat across the ground covered in bulrush footprints.

“Are you ok Dad!?”

“Ah… I think that I’m ok. I’m just thoroughly pancaked right now and can’t move.” Bowser replies sounding a bit sore. Jr is relived and relaxes now.

“I can’t believe that you actually did that. Like I thought that you’d know just how strong the power of wonder is after the castle incident and gaining you rubbery powers from them.”

Bowser gives him an annoyed look. Clearly not liking the criticism.

“Anyway, don’t you have something to help you with stuff like this?” Nash asks Bowser.

“Yes I do! Son can you grab it for me?”

“Sure thing!” Jr replies. He finds the air pump and pulls it out. “Found it!”

“How is it not crushed?” Nash asks.

“Oh, anything on my person is also affected by my powers. So it was probably flat until Jr pulled it out.”

“That’s interesting.” Nash says.

“Ok, Son get that pump going!”

“Ok!” Jr turns on the pump and puts it Bowser’s mouth. It only takes a few minutes until he’s back to normal.

“Ah I feel much better now!” Bowser says as he stretches (normally).

“Let’s go and catch up with Dusty who’s waiting for us.” Nash says to the two of them.

“Yeah let’s go!” Bowser says loudly.

They make their way to Dusty and eventually see him sitting outside a Poplin’s house in the distance doing something.

“Hey Dusty what are you doing over there!?” Nash shouts from far away.

Dusty notices and starts packing up to get ready for their arrival.

“You still haven’t answered my question.” They say clearly in a teasing manner.

“I was working on some stuff…” He mumbles back. Nash stops after that. “I got the seed by the way.” He shows it to them.

“Nice! May I take it?” Dusty hands it to them. “Thank you.” They put it into their bag.

“So where do we go now?” Bowser asks.

“Back to our rides so we can fly over the valley to get to the neighboring plateau that has the castle on it easy peasy.” They say with a straight face.

“Really?”

“Well we can’t just leave them there the whole time we’re out here now can we.” Nash says while shrugging and already walking back.
Bowser and Jr both groan and wine respectively as they follow Nash. Dusty quietly follows behind them.
