The vinyl was a bit tough to sew, I was definitely grateful for my thimble. I used a backstitch to anchor the edges like an applique, then did a round of whip stitching around the perimeter of each vinyl piece. I was pretty shocked at what a difference the whip stitches made in getting a nice squishy effect! These are also lightly stuffed with polyfil for extra dimension.
