Avali rely on their packmates as more than just companions. Among other things, they help to serve as a voice of reason for one another, the group coming to collective decisions, giving them the ability to assess a situation from multiple perspectives in a quick, almost seamless fashion. Take an avali away from that pack dynamic and they may find it difficult to make these decisions at all, sometimes leading to executive dysfunction and an inability to act. Or sometimes, rather than an inability to act, they may become impulsive, taking the first option that comes to mind, jumping into a situation before they've given themselves the opportunity to plan ahead and think about the consequences.
Just don't tell Alta that's not a good thing. He seems to be having too much fun at the moment.
