This is a collaborative image, obviously. . . between myself and
Alectorfencer Just like the rest of the comic :)
The title will get jostled around for the actual book, but. . . this is the completely finished, just-as-bloody-as-I-wanted-it cover for Red Lantern, The Crimson Divine (namely volume 1) I've been tweaking it for almost a month now, and I could probably torture myself more. . . but I won't. Puttin' down the stylus now.
I've also submitted a version that's suitably sized for desktop use, since a whole buncha' you asked. If it's not EXACTLY your resolution, I'm sure you can still make it work. No whining :P
And the printed version of the first novel is still currently slated to come out this January at Further Confusion and online, through Sofawolf Press. Once we have a link, I'll make it available.

This is simply gorgeous. Stunning, even.
I must say, Rukis, that the characters and the world you've created are amazing. I honestly am blown away by each and every page you and Alecto put out.
And when the book comes out, I am going to buy it. BUY IT SO HARD. And not just for the missing X-rated pages (though I would be lying if I didn't say that wasn't a tiny part of the reason), but because it really feels fleshed out, and (given the circumstances) realistic for the characters to do what they do, and why. Also because I love the feeling of actually holding a comic book, not just looking at it online. Mmmm, old-school nerdery :D

-Chuckles- I got into a bid war with someone over the print version of this at AC (I stopped fighting it since it was getting close to going to auction). I ended up snagging your Cruelty print titled "Unconditional." I still need to get a frame for it.....
This is beautiful nonetheless though ~ I love the composition and the midway transition into two different scenes is really captivating !

(I had to stop myself from going over everything I like about this series......Characters, Concepts, backdrops......the story itself! .....but I don't wanna leave and essay. haha)
The poppy petals on the spine will be a wonderful touch. I do feel like the image of Amon as the front cover feels very empty though, compared to the sea captain on the back. The back cover image is so much stronger- all the detail supports it and makes it exciting and alive. As a front cover, Amon just feels.. confined? Blank and emotionless? There's none of the visual drama that makes every single page of your comic positively sing. The posture with his back turned feels almost excluding even, to someone approaching this book on the shelf.. in a 'don't mess with me, just put the book down and walk away' kind of attitude. I hope his head wont be in the way of the title in the upper 3rd too. Isn't that the standard placement for a title text? Its mostly the standard for graphic novels it seems, makes them visible over the comics in front of them on store shelving. I work in a bookstore and I sincerely want this book to sell like hotcakes, that's the only reason I voice some reservations Ive felt about this as a successful cover design. I wish you the best on getting this published soon! -Crash the otter

Amon & Luther are just so.. so.. Perfect I wish I could draw like you. You're amazing and Alectorfencer's work is so wonderfull. So much details and colour :D
Like Amon's dancing outfit, My God. Me gusta. You should totally add a "Donate" button somewhere, I'd deposit so much money just for you to continue this amazing work you're doing.
