The early years of Crossworth were extremely rough, as establishing infrastructure so deep into the caves proved to be slow and tedious. Securing the roof and walls of the cavern was put first and foremost to ensure the longevity of the future facility.
It was found that the safest way of transporting supplies to aid in construction was via rail. The only road vehicles suited for the job were too loud and heavy to safely traverse the underground, and it would be cost-effective in the long run.
Four "Fireless" locomotives were bought to take supply trains to and from the facility, for its construction and long afterwords.
I would like to begin introducing diesel-electric engines soon. There isn't actually much to talk about with The Whispers during their time at Crossworth at the moment.
