A sketch reference for Giuseppe!

He’s a younger character of mine, and he’s a fraternal twin, his brother Anthony has yet to be drawn though. Soon though!

Giuseppe may be young, but he cares a lot about what is fair and what is not. He often writes stories, stories where the problems he sees with the world, getting fixed, since he understands there’s not much he can do to change it, but he wants to.

He really wants to be independent, but his parents are quite overprotective of him, so he has to push for independence frequently. His parents aren’t bad, they just want the best for him, but they’re just a little too protective.

I’ve never drawn a raccoon before this, so I hope he looks good! I think he turned out okay!

He’s one of my MANY neurodivergent characters, having Down syndrome. When I write any neurodivergent character I always make sure that their neurodivergence isn’t their ENTIRE character or personality, so Giuseppe’s Down syndrome is just a part of him! I always want to show that he has a personality, often media depicts disabled characters as just their disability. I won’t have my characters be that way. So Giuseppe has a lot of different parts of him that make him unique, and who he is :)
