"Huff... H-hey, guys, wait up...!"
Melon, waddling behind the rest of the group, was winded.
"Why's it so hot out, man...? Jeez...!" He huffed and puffed, undoing the heavy zipper on his thick green winter coat along with the straining zipper on the hoodie beneath, allowing hundreds of pounds of scaly red blubber to spill out. He pulled out a pair of fans and began to rapidly wave them in his reddened face.
"Does anyone else feel that heat out here, or is it just me...? Huff..."
"It's just you," came a reply from a nonplussed Maz, "this is exactly why we tell you you need to get some exercise, you whale."
Melon gave an insulted sputter, paying no mind to the literal steam rising from his warmed body, even as snow pelted the group from all angles. "H-hey, that ain't fair, we've been hiking for ages now!"
"We've been hiking for ten minutes", groaned Maz as he made his way behind the boulder of a lizard and began to push upon his soft back, "now quit your whining and start your waddling, you glutton!"I know winter's basically over at the time of this being posted, but damnit this piece is so good it has to be shared.
