Sketchpages like this are effectively drawing practice exercises for me. Gloria is a character I've drawn so many times that I don't have to think too hard about how to draw her properly and I can instead focus on how to make her look right in different attitudes and expressions. A big additional challenge for me is to just get better at drawing in general such that I'm spending more time with the character "acting" and less and less time on the fundamentals of just drawing the character at all. I like to think I'm pretty good at it, but maaaannnn... there's so much more I could be doing and want to eventually achieve.
