the bastard himself, Murfy! took me a good long while to figure out how to draw this motherfucker, longer than thingamajigs lemme tell ya. he's got such a distinct headshape and it does NOT play nice with my general handling of like... my sketching and shaping and whatnot.
hes a smidge out of perportion for my exact design (his head's a little small and his thorax should be bigger) but this'll do for now.

also yeah he was so horny for rayman in RM3. VA did his job too well X3 how do you think they feel knowing they made ppl horny for murfy?
yeah i dont like fluffy murfy (for my personal HC/redesign/AU), but thats kinda bc with a loose glance at the glade's spieces' as a whole, even knowing that they were all just kinda poofed into existance by Polokus and thus having no actual evolution, they're all very... aquatic? like not much is fluffy/furry or has hair really - seems like an uncommon trait. and cus theres like a line in the glade's history - the first nightmare, the creation of jano which lead to the creation of rayman. theres pre-nightmare and post-nightmare, and i feel post-nightmare creatures are more... fluffy. more "not what it used to be" to the glade. and i see/believe murfy (and basically all other greenbottles) to be a pre-nightmare spieces, so they are more... scaly and 'slimy' and "watery". but even post-nightmare/fluffy critters (like thingamajigs) must still be notably aquatic in some manner - i mean the island of the first game, where The Great Protoon is and where id presume rayman and the other thingamajigs were created has (at minimum) a swamp with floods over the larger-than-skyscrapers sized trees. plus the mainlands which are basically a super-continent (depending on the size of the RM1 island - that might be its own continent and thus the mainlands *cant* be a super-continent) ie, the overwhelming bulk of the planet is water. and it doesnt matter if we do the "the glade is non-euclidian to fit all of the biome form all of the games" thing or not - because the ratio of water to land is basically the same either way.

yeah i mean some irl bugs are actually fluffy + these are fantasy fairy aliens so it doesnt really matter how "realistic" or "scientifically feesible" the critters are. imporant thing is having fun :3
i mean right now im going through the effort of making a semi-plausible skull design for thingamajigs for (currently) 1 (one; as in singular) image. but thats because im crazy and have problems. like-
you mentioned the manuverability thing and im thinking about how many (in comparison to earth) large creatures fly in an insect-like manner and how floaty rayman is when he jumps + his own helicopter hair, and im just like "oh the glade must have significantlly lower or higher gravity than earth to allow for flight out of such conkers :)" and its like NO we're having FUN we're not doing REAL WORLDBUILDING we're being SILLY DAMNIT brAIN stop THINKING sdhfladsjhfals

oh dont worry ive been here for a while - i mean thats what my Aileirtsa project is (its not a little AU its a fat fucker with all of my fandoms crammed into it). ive got piles of scrapped conlangs.
OH SPEAKING OF CONLANGS - fuckin... im so mad wandaye is is fucking dead. and what worse? *through clenched teeth* it was meant to be in RM4RR and it WASNT because RM4RR never happened- *banging fists on table* iadfsalihdsfkma *froths at mouth /neg*
id make my own version of Wandaye as many in the past have before, but conlanging is SUCH an indeavor. and yea we (partly) know what its meant to sound like but like... working off of some frenchmens' idea of gibberish from like 2 decades ago is not fab. so im being a lazy bitch and using pig latin as much as it pains me because i dont really have another, simpler choice. what Ubi needs to do is make another rayman language learning edutainment game but its wandaye instead of a human language. then we both get an offical verison and rayman gets another game.
