Project Warrowick; 90s and Sideiron Concepts
This one falls squarely on Dr. Portal and his overindulgence of my terrible ideas. It started with coming up with Rowan's Parents' dynamic.
James Howell, sheriff and redeemer. And Abigail Hoover, the vengeful vigilante. Before James, the Howell line had grown soft, lazy, and corrupt. His father, Martin, often turned a blind eye to criminal activities he knew were 'well above his pay grade'. Not so with James. He couldn't stand to see what Montana Town had become, and he couldn't stand that his family had sat by and allowed it to go on for so long. When James became a sheriff, he became a marked man with a high bounty. One that Abby Hoover, aka the 'Silver Sister' was looking to collect. James' father had allowed the Hoover homestead to be pillaged when she was young, which led to the death of her parents and sisters. She swore revenge on the Howell family for that, and the bounty offered her a 'two-birds, one stone' deal. But when she was face-to-face with James in combat, Abby couldn't go through with the bounty. There was something about James that seemed genuine. He seemed like he really wanted to clean up Montana Town. And if that was the case, she would be willing to tentatively help him.
Over time, that tentative partnership turns to romance, and when James succeeds at running the last of the corrupt land owners and bankers out of town, the Silver Sister rides off into the sunset and Warrowick history, a job well done. The next day, a mysterious woman named Hoover comes to Montana Town, reclaiming her family's long-abandoned land and assets before quickly marrying the very eligible Sheriff Howell. The Townsfolk thought James was crazy to marry a stranger after only knowing her for two weeks. For James, it took every ounce of his willpower to hold out for more than one week.
The rest of the art was devoted to a 90s Margaret Farrowfaighle, reborn as a stout little Irish-coded sheep mean girl, and pushing her together with a hybrid geek. This was mostly portal, a 'yes and' idea that got well out of hand with him serving to further indulge me. Mostly, it was an excuse to draw cute sheep ladies. I'm sorry, god forgive me. And yes, unfortunately there is more.
This is all Dungeons and Dragons concept/writing for a world and it's Lore Dr. Portal and I are working on. One of those things where we keep lore building and not writing. Hopefully we'll be curbing that soon.
