Ever since my boyfriend 
WaxHippo became a hippo, I’ve joked that if he went to the dentist l, they’d have to jack open his mouth and do the procedure laying on their back, as if they were fixing a car. So of course I had to draw him experiencing just that!
Dr. Otto Jack (get it?) runs the mouse garage in Port Grindstone on Wetren and also works as a dentist for hippos, since a lot of his tools can serve both purposes. Recently, he’s even expanded into the alligator market. Quite the entrepreneur! He jacks open the mouths of his patients as a safety measure. Wax or Charley would never eat him on purpose, of course, but since he caters to species with very powerful, if not sharp, teeth, he’d be a goner if they were to accidentally close their mouth while he was working.
