My first boy rattie(s): Brother Parmigiano Reggiano
Oh goddamnit, another day.. another rat!
I was at the same damn pet store I got Alfredo from... and his newest (and last) brother was on display while I was shopping for some rat lab blocks and a new wheel for the boys (They grow up so fast!)....
Dear god he's adorable with his one dumbo ear that's wrinkled like a potato chip!!!
Instantly I knew he was Reggie, the cheese that got away! The girl who sold us Alfredo was there, and insisted we HAD to take him home.. HAD TO. She FORCED US I SWEAR IT! =P
So Reggie gave me kisses and snuggles and happily went into his take away box. We cut our errands short and went home with him.
He's from the same tank and breeding as Alfredo, and I was unsure of if I should introduce him immediately (I usually follow strict quarantine procedures), BUT the girl insisted he'd only been with Alfredo's mother and brothers/sisters, and was checked out by the vet repeatedly.
He's healthy, happy, and brave. He does everything his big brother does. He follows him out of the cage, runs around, makes trouble. He wrestles and wins against rats twice his size. =) What a little troublemaker!
He's got a great home and a happy life ahead of him. I think Romano would be happy to see another rat named after a cheese =*).
