The Roar Of Decline - title subject to change
Book 4 - Part 1 - to those of you following this story - thank you
SeaDragon and I have now begun the years beginning at the end of WWI. Many changes have taken place, as is always the case during life.
More and more (even at my age) I begin to see just how complicated, and yet simple, life can be. Writing something that is historically based gives the author a reason to research that history. Life now is no less complicated than it was then, nor is it any less violent. We live in the present, so we tend to concentrate on that. The more I research, however, the more I understand that history truly does repeat itself.
There are reasons for everything, you just have to put yourself back in those times and then look at it through the eyes of then - not now.

Everyone should have the privilege of living another life as we have in the writing of this tale.

Key word is should, right? I look back on the wars we have been in, Walt, and it amazes me the amount of lives that were lost, and it's almost totally forgotten.
If you get a chance, check for the Canadian show they did for the anniversary of Vimmy Ridge. I happened to see it when I was working up in Canada, and it was absolutely wonderful. It didn't hold back.
