Zandar has told some outright whoppers, but she didn't return to Faerie on time and missed out on her education. To do proper magick, your word has to be worth something. Too many fibs and your spells won't work because reality itself no longer believes you. Zandar's magick is demon-tainted (and what isn't diabolical is grossly physical), that's how she gets away with it.
