Original Species: Grimm Stork
The Grimm Stork is a large, predatory bird that stalks the Great Marsh of Eastern Vogelheim. It uses its long, stilt-like legs to wade through the water and snatch up any creature small enough for it to swallow. Fish, insects, and even smaller waterfowl are all fair game for this cold and calculating killer.
Grimm Storks, much like other birds native to the region, use the small islands dotted all over the marsh for nesting. Males and females bond for life, returning every year to the same nest to rear their chicks. Year after year, they time this event with the arrival of the Quabbicks. The smaller birds serve as important prey for the storks.
When water levels drop, the storks migrate northward in search of prey.
