Cassiopeia-F was launched on April 8, 2385. Captain Clifford (who commanded the first two Cassiopeias and Cassiopeia-E before its destruction in 2384) became the commanding officer of the new starship. Chakat Mia became the first officer.
Despite the starship's primary profile of interdimensional exploration, its first mission was the Starfleet Colonial Operations special project known as “Project Helios.” The main objective of that project was to survey and then colonize the Helios Dyson Ring. As part of the project, Cassiopeia conducted reconnaissance of Helios for space-time and subspace anomalies, the Ring's active defense systems, and also researched specific systems of this ancient megastructure. In the future, this very unusual place would become home to Chakat Mia, hir family, and hir clan...

• Modified GPCD – “Dimensional Breach Mode”: uses energy from Gravimetric Protostar Containment to open a stable interdimensional rift, allowing the starship to transit between realities. The breach remains stable for approximately 8 hours before self-closing.

• “Temporal Data Safe Box” – Cassiopeia's computer core module, allows a limited amount of critical information to be saved from timeline changes.
• Zero-Crewman Hologram – an experimental hologram necessary to maintain the functioning of the ship during the absence of crew members on board. Cassiopeia's ZCH gained self-awareness shortly after activation. Mia and the others named hir "Cass", in honor of the ship's name, and considers hir as family member. Cass has the appearance of a chakat, with a leopard-like head, steel-colored fur with straight glowing blue stripes, with dark-gray mane and orange eyes. However, shi often loves to experiment with hir appearance. Shi has hir own autonomous self-sustaining mobile holo-emitter.
• Interior modifications: the captain's quarters have been converted into a guest quarters, crew quarters have been converted into “Cassiopeia's Den” – where Mia and the others sleep, relax and spend their free time.
