Frostbite stood his ground, and it kept away the mob for a moment. Lightshow was able to breath and check over her equipment. After checking the two sets of rocket jumps she had left, there was a shout from the lioness, “We’re almost done, just rush them!”
It got the mob on track, and they ran madly at the two.
Lightshow didn’t hesitate, she lit a fuse and shot a barrage from her rockets at each one. The only two who did avoid the fiery darts ran right into Frostbite with counter punches. One bent over from the freezing cold of his hand, but the other backed up as he felt his solid cold vest. The others were looking for a moment to step in next, but Lightshow just lobbed a pair of smoke bombs and fire crackers. The flashing bombs and billowing smoke is what Lightshow ran into, swinging madly and relying on her power for protection.
Frostbite entered as well, using the lenses from his mask to keep his eyes open. The chaos was a weak shield, but it gave them a small edge against this violent group of people.
“They sure don’t give up easily.” Frostbite said, “How many more bombs have you got left?”
“Not a lot.” Lightshow shouted, “Usually I don’t fight a whole horde.” Then she ducked a guy’s hit and tripped them, “I’m shocked the fire system hasn’t gone off yet.”
“A workplace like here has hot and smoking tools all the time.” Frostbite said as he pushed a man away, “There’s no alarm system, they’d turn it on manually.”
“Seriously?” Lightshow ducked away from a swinging wrench, and saw the sprinklers above. “They’d have to turn a switch?” She crouched low as she avoided another hit, and thought about it. “Frosty, hang in there..” She tapped her heels, and leaped. Rockets going off, she sprung high in the air and landed on a drill press table. The mob was turning, partially, toward her, but she was more focused on a switch that was painted red. The mob came for her again, but tossed her next batch of firecrackers. Some of them kept back, but it was just enough for Lightshow to make her sprint.
“Frosty!” Lightshow shouted, people closing in on the running cat, “Freeze them up!” She dove for the switch and pulled the fire system.
Alarms blared and the sprinkler system activated; water sprayed everywhere and doused everyone. Those were near Frostbite, however, had frost and ice building up on them. Frostbite saw the snow and ice building around him, and what was building up on the rioters. He chuckled beneath his mask, and started lunging at rioters. His cold hands locked anyone in place, the water soaking in and on their clothes locked solid from just a touch. People were just trying to grab the two before, then they were trying to grab the cat who got them all wet, and then they were all running from the misty fox. Over two dozen angry people came to attack this work place, and now they were locked in ice and only able to chatter their teeth.
