Life under the sea holds many opportunities for adventure and fun, with many mers taking full advantage of their place in the world to enjoy life to the full.
Some, however, instead decide to dedicate their lives to quiet prayer and service in the temples of the gods.
There are two religious orders that hold power under the sea. The Brotherhood of Leviathan and the Sisterhood of Thalassa. Leviathan is hailed as the creator of all of merkind; while Thalassa is the creator of all the other creatures that call the seas home.
This merwolfess, Marissa, is Nyra's cousin and a dedicated priestess of Thalassa at her temple in the capital city of Bermuda. Here she is, eyes closed in prayer, as she asks her goddess to bless the kingdom and its denizens.
