those must be bots, I've been seeing a sharp increase in that behavior among furry groups and it's all just people trying to sew seeds and really double down on bullying and harassment. Even joining discord groups just to harass people.
Man, the furry fandom boasts about being for adults only.... but I'm not sure these people are....

Yeah, regardless not much is being done to stop abuse and harassment like this. I'm seeing it on the rise so much lately, even in sites that claim to be "all inclusive" will have this kind of behavior. Either way, sorry to see this happening. I try to ignore it when it happens to me but the last time I uploaded any of my art online was like 10 years ago... that's the kind of impact the bullying had. i still draw every day, but I'm not posting it just for people half my age to have another target to dump their self esteem on.
You musta got hit with a bot farm lol. Twitter is full of'em! hard to know what accounts are real anymore on it. Not to say it always wasn't. With AI nowadays even easier to bot-fake, it's to the point i'm like suspicious of normal non-art accounts. FB and Insta are no better. like i forget most of twitter is non-furry lol.
Ironically the non furries are more tolerant of this stuff. I show my art to my IRL coworkers and they find it cute and are impressed, but when I show to "like minded" artists online, I get berated and insulted off the site. I think it has less to do with having similar tastes and more to do with young artists being ultra competitive to the point of violently attacking artists who don't do what they like and a severe lack of maturity among "adult" artists (as most of my coworkers are at least in thier 30s, while most of the worst people online are in thier early 20s.) Sometimes....I seriously think they need to raise the legal age to 26 at least.... if they do, that will curb a lot of the worst behavior. (and help reduce predatory behavior as well).
I can look at your artwork from a non-furry standpoint and be like, these are actually really neat! I'd probably note the details on the talons being interesting.
With art in any field, i feel it's just oversaturation of the field. Where nearly everyone wants to get their stuff out and the especially young and just starting out with comms $, are on high alert around anyone who might come off as a threat. They see someone's art as better than theirs and either takes it as a goal or wants to pull them down.
I always wonder how like showing more fetish-y artwork to other artists in the same circle would come off. Like would it be "oh that's wonderful! i really love the detail on those tentacles." or "dang i hate that he's better at drawing dicks than me." I couldn't imagine showing furry art to my coworkers when i was younger, i worked retail jobs at bunch of big box stores, and right now i'm thinking bird peets wouldn't fly. At an airport or National Aviary sure! but Maybe just start with Kenkat, Blotch, and work down. all the classics.
