Thank you, Lisa, thank you. I knew having a fox sister was the best card in the book.
Regarding reforms... Everything is still a work in progress. We still have a lot to settle with the church regarding what is permitted and what is not. After all, the anthro world is too diverse.

It's not as difficult as it seems. If you frame it as an adult story, not a children's comedy. And yes, Lisa also acts as a shield against John, as he's distracted by her and her Novgorodian political ideas. And Robin's arc completely changes. First, he marries a Saxon woman from his own people, not a spoiled Norman noblewoman, and he changes his political course.
I have long wanted it as an adult story..... though I did want to see Robin actually Subdued by John..... I appreciate the insight but it seems like the outcome will be one of Hapily ever after for all.... Sure Robin DOESN'T get marion but hey he is just as happy.... Ditto for Marion.
In Cassie's world, marriages between humans and furries became legal in America some twenty years from today. Not all religious faiths condone it. Only the Catholic and Greek Orthodox faiths allow it. The Russian Orthodox church is moving in that direction along with the Anglican church currently.
I though you were married to Marian? From where I come from, Anglattia, humans and anthros have been intermarrying for either several centuries if not millennia and all of our churches, from Catholic, to Anglican, to Evangelical allow it and encourage it on par as if marrying another normal human.
