So, this is the sixth official member of my little adventuring group, he appears in mid-early Book 3 and is essential ever since.
His name is Kahele Iani-Lixwyd. "Lixwyd" is the surname of his adopted father, who just so happens to be the one of the greatest natural philosopher of his age.
Kahele is from a species of shark-like near humans called "Tei'a" who are from the Pelagus Archipelago, a tropical paradise (or an untamed hell, if you're in the wilderness) Pelagus is very roughly based on places like New Zealand, The Philippines, Madagascar, and Cuba.
Kahele is 25, when he is first encountered, and has a history with alcohol. He also has a background in the Waitaka Security Forces, a sort of gendarmerie in the largest city-state in the world, the Free City of Waitaka, the former capital of the ancient Tuahimonan empire, now a City State.
He's is kind, capable, and overall a solid guy. He has replaced absinthe and rum with "Kolofizz" a local fizzy drink delight that was invented by a Dratzembourgian physician. Kahele's personal favorites are Calavor Lime and "Orchid" which is an acquired taste, and Miruska calls the orchid flavor "Like perfume of elderly Remilian noblewoman"
He has a preference for lever action weaponry and revolvers, he is not magical, but compensates for this with his tactical mind, profound knowledge of monsters and beasts, and higher than average constitution, given his race. Other than Sharagat, he is the second physically strongest in the group.
