My gay boys are back with a new reference sheet for their redesign!
Those of you who remember these boys of mine get a cookie! Back then they were a tad different and Rye was called Ryu/was of an original species, but I'm excited to finally draw them some more and show you their new story!

This and another couple ref were started on January 2025, but then I got stuck on the designs and when life went sideways I couldn't justify wasting time over them.
Well, life went sideways again at the start of this year, so I had plenty of time to chew over their designs and work on them piecemeal while too sick to actually draw.
And now, after a decade since saying "mh, I should really redesign these guys" and coming up with new lore a bunch of times, I have finally drawn them!
