Apparently he came back looking for his wallet, and got angry at Beau for looking through his stuff. But I feel a beating like that was a massive exaggeration

Come on guys, have you seen the past few pages? This is clearly a long pent up anger finally getting a release. It has little to do with Bau being in his room, though it was a catalyst.

I mean we saw how distant he was, and apparently Bau being in his room was the catalyst. But either way is still a massive exaggeration, since we don't saw any reason for his distancing, we saw him keeping his distance from Bau (even though they apparently were pretty close when young) amd mpw he's jumping straight-up to aggression over something that honestly isn't much of a deal

True, they were close once, but drifted apart. The previous page shows, they were both into music until the brother's interest turned away into farming. Perhaps he's angry at Bau for leaving the family to pursue the music dream, something he views as childish and not a real job? Without text it's hard to say.
All I want to say that is that it wasn't a 'you entered my room, so I'm gonna beat you' type of reaction. It's clearly deeper.

Yeah, I never understood that... If the brother's passion turned away into farming while Bau was still set on forming a band, then how could the brother be so angry that Bau left to chase his dream? Was he expecting Bau to follow suit and quit just to stay together, and was upset that Bau "abandoned" him? At first, I thought the brother was only learning farming to make the money to get the guitar for Bau, but after looking at the previous page and seeing the sparkles in his eyes, it sounds exactly as you said... There has to be more to this... Was the brother still on board with forming the band back then or what? We should've gotten one more flashback page explaining that, before getting this one IMHO. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Yeah I don't think that brother deserves any reconnection at that point. Guaranteed way to have him out of your life forever.

I kinda love this scene, the tipping point.

Something else aside from what we've seen may have happened between the two, and yea, emotions get high between people and there is something there that triggered him to go this far. This kind of scene though is almost therapeutic in a sense, they needed to both just have it out, get past the anger and once tapped into the emotions, the rest will come flooding out. Healthy way of handling it? No, but let's be honest, Bau hasn't handled most things healthily why start now haha

Thats sure an escalation.
I got a few ideas.
Either hes mad that they didn't give up on their dreams and become a farm boy with him,
Either hes mad that they went off without him and lived their dreams,
Or maybe he went off on his own and didn't even invite his brother to join him in his music career.
I feel some of these theories might be more valid then others, so I am curious to what direction this takes.
