Like all things I draw...this little doodle was meant to be finished on a certain deadline.
But like all things I draw...I again missed said deadline by two or three days. =(
For once I'd like to meet the deadlines I set for myself when drawing something. =T
Anyway, this little guy was drawn as a surprise for
alice-the-sable 's birthday which was on the 1st of this month.
This little critter is an Axolotl....an endagered amphibian known for it's habitat in...New Mexico I think?
That are curious and adorable little creatures, and they are some of her favorite animals. Knowing that I decided to draw one for her!
This was my first time drawing one...and it was a bit of a challenge due to the pose I used...and I also made use of online pictures to make this.
I tried my best, but I think it came out alright I guess.
Happy birthday! I hope you like it Alice, and I hope you all like it as well. I had fun drawing this. ^_^
Sketched on paper with a no 2 mechanical pencil and scanned in with a Cannon scanner/printer.

Haha yeah, I'm always too hard on myself...my self-esteem in general is just ASS. But that's a different story. xDD
I really can't help being late on stuff sometimes, even the little things like this...I just put as much love and effort as I can into them, which is a plus right?

Aww, I was happy to do this for you! It was a lot of fun, Axolotl's are really adorable...I hope I can visit my local Aquarium here or any other reptile place and see these little guys up close for once.
