So here’s something I don’t usually post, photography! I technically did this with my traditional art in the past, but I’ve never done it to showcase anything collection wise, so here’s some of my Rudolph plushes based off of the 1998 GoodTimes movie! Yeah, despite the movie being a bomb, it did gain some really good plushes, and they were actually pretty cheap to get, usually around the $20 price range. I’m guessing it could be due to GoodTimes overstocking their plushes to promote the film and no one wanted them, which is why they are so cheap, so of course I collected a few of them!
The left plush is made by Heartland, and I’d say it’s good, but not as good as the other plushes. I can definitely tell they based it off of the movie cover, but the pupils are just black as opposed to being brown pupils, and the face can look quite silly at different angles, but I still really like it. It even has a zipper around the belly to store things in, though I don’t know what I could store in it.
The middle and right ones are by Prestige, and man, these are definitely my favorite GoodTimes Rudolph plushes. They definitely gone for a cute and cuddly vibe with their plushes here, and all of the details of the character are here! The middle one had a light-up nose, but unfortunately when I bought it, the light-up nose and sound doesn’t work anymore, which is pretty common for what I saw of the same plush, even though the listing I got didn’t list it having the issue anywhere.
And finally, there’s the beanbag plush around the right in front of the Prestige plush, and I’m not really sure who made it, and at first I thought it was a knockoff since it’s honestly sort of hard to find elsewhere, but it may be still official since there were probably other Rudolph beanbag plushes during that era. It was actually the first GoodTimes Rudolph plush I got, and if you’re wondering why the hair might look off, that’s because it was in the washer which sort of messed up the hair, but honestly I don’t mind it.
So yeah, that was my thoughts on these Rudolph plushes I wanted to take a picture off. I know it’s on Friday the 13th in March, but eh, I don’t care, I still love GoodTimes’ version of Rudolph anytime of this year. I also have a plush based off the Rankin/Bass version, but I left that out since I only have one, and I didn’t want to count it for this picture I took since I consider GoodTimes Rudolph to be separate from the Rankin/Bass one.

The merchandise from the GoodTimes Rudolph movie is in that in-between of both rare and common. The Prestige plushes are pretty common, but the Heartland and beanbag plushes are more hard to come by. I even got a Rudolph T-Shirt based off the movie, where I could only find one listing of, though it was still for a pretty good and surprisingly somewhat cheap price.
