So Cathy convinced me to go out trick-or-treating last October, despite being, well, an adult. And given my history, it should come as no surprise that she insisted I use one of the many... many dresses I have accumulated over the years and go as a cute goth girl. (Marillia would be so proud, I'm sure.) Cathy, meanwhile, wore her collar and very little else, and went as my "pet rabbit."
Some part of this apparently really pissed off some old bitch. Or should I say, old witch? Because when she answered her door she looked supremely offended, screeched something about making our costumes "more appropriate," and then muttered a lot of gibberish. A few seconds later my body is starting to shift and warp into the all-too-familiar shape of a woman, and Cathy was turning into a feral bunny.
The witch was surprised when my only reaction was a wry, "Yeah, I figured." I mean, Halloween, dressed as a girl? It was bound to happen at some point.
She was very surprised when Cathy's reaction was to throw her arms up and shout, "YAAAAaaaaaaayyyy..." gleefully, her voice fading away like someone falling off a cliff.
Thankfully, the change only lasted a few days. And it was a whole lot easier to get candy afterwards!
