Their concept revolves around prisms and light refracting into rainbow colors. The black represents the opposite side of light which is white

And then… the client chose to include porcelain (a type of material). It actually links well with the idea of how this material absorbs light, which is why it’s suitable for mimicking the texture of teeth, like in veneer (the nerd in me showed up again…). The client didn’t request much and mostly let me decide the design direction, with the addition of a mask and some cracks.
And when a material like this cracks… hmm, if I add gold like kintsugi, it would definitely look nice. So I decided to incorporate gold into the design.

There was also a jester prompt, but they didn’t want it to stand out too much. So instead of making the horns curve like a typical jester hat, I made the shapes flow downward instead. Around the tail area, I imagined it like the handle of a mug, and the tip of the tail can even be changed into a pen nib if needed so they could dip it in ink and walk around dragging ink across paper.

On top of that, they are a Shape shifter who wears masks. They can change their form depending on the mask they wear, so I thought that parts of their body could probably change as well, something along those lines?
