Taylor has always been a beautiful wolf, even if she doesn't always think so - even if her tailmaw, Ahya, tends to scare many would-be admirers away. However, she understands that despite this, she has a sex appeal that can be utilized to her advantage. Throughout the series, she becomes extremely important in world and political affairs. She is known the Western Hemisphere over and is sought after for a variety of reasons by many powerful people.
This scene in question is her making a stand and revealing herself in full confidence to both surprise, upset and confuse those who expected her to run and hide. She charges headlong into the lion's den with head held high with an objective nobody is going to stop her at achieving. If she'll use her sex appeal to distract or befuddle those who would seek her harm, she will do so for her benefit and aims. What would you do if she was heading straight towards you with purposeful intent, knowing that neither you nor the reason you came here for was the cause of her appearance on the ballroom floor tonight?

In these past scenarios, Taylor and Ahya had to play it safe because she had no experience in the dealings of politics and rich individuals who control the world. With experience and becoming aware of how important she was to world events, especially becoming a hero throughout the series, she used her newfound status and the egos of those higher in the societal chain to gain information, exploit weaknesses in their enemies as well as learning their strengths. She still had to play it safe so as to not harm herself, her allies, and draw suspicion and attention from their enemies.
At this point, Taylor and Ahya have done this enough to know how this works. Now they know how to manipulate rich and powerful individuals, how to baffle and confuse them, how to catch them off guard. I dare not assume their observational skills of their enemies are as advanced as Arianna's observational skills since she was both trained and had combat experience whereas Taylor and Ahya fumbled through everything and gained experience.
However, you know your characters better than I do, and I like to think that at this point Taylor's skills are on even par, or higher than her trainers, her friends, and her enemies at this point.
