My patrons actually saw it long ago 👀
Whenever someone entrusts me with their character, I always try to think carefully about the flowers that accompany them in the illustration.
Flowers can say so much about mood, personality and atmosphere, so I like choosing them with a bit of extra care.
For this portrait, my heart immediately led me to forget-me-nots.
There’s something soft and poetic about them. It's a quiet symbol of memory, tenderness and connection
and they felt like the perfect match for the character’s gentle yet elegant presence.
I also really enjoyed working with the cool blue palette here and keeping the overall mood calm and slightly dreamy💙
