When I graduated from grad school, I was given a gummi bear. A 4 1/2 pound gummibear.

It was basicly impossible to eat... we managed to gnaw a paw off, but that was about it. It was layered, with all of the colors/flavors.

I would have assumed cutting it into edible sized portions would have been the solution, rather than trying to bite (or gnaw) chunks off of it.

We did use a knife to try and cut it into pieces... but gnaw is a more fun word, and it was so sticky and flexible that the knife didn't work very well. The effort was about as effective as gnawing... (-:
