Yeah. The Oscars stopped being prestigious when they started awarding B-movies. Just look at the plots of the winning films and you'll see that the Oscar have lost their status as the highest award.

It's annoying for sure, but both films had positive reception and one had to win and the other had to lose. K-Pop Demon Hunters was likely chosen as as it was at present a stand alone film, rather then a sequel and they wanted to give an award to something comes off as more original.

Glad K-pop won. Probably the only recent animated feature I’ve intentionally watched more than once. TBH I didn’t find much merit in the zootopia sequel. Like they had a decade to write and think about it and still rushed it.

I never watch the second one and never will, it feels like furry bait to get more money, Also, I find it kind of hypocritical for them to make Zootopia about prejudice and racism when they themselves practice that with their workers.

Finally some good news this year

While Sony has its own share of flaws, I admit, it is cathartic knowing that Disney lost another Oscar race. It's almost like sucking up to shareholders and focus groups is a bad thing, WHAT A CONCEPT!

I doubt Disney gives shit about Kcrap Demon hunters with the nearly 2 billion dollars that Zooptopia 2 raked in. Kcrap didn't even hit 25 million 😂. Oscars don't mean shit any more lol

It's not about who makes what amount, it's about the movie it self and what it offered to the viewers.

Everyone knows which movie was better and they the Ocasers intentionally screws Diseny now. Just cuz they got a trophy doesn't mean they are the better movie.

I kinda feel ya, my problem is that movie it feels like Miles Spiderman copy with the animation, but truthfully the animation style is not good and the character from what say can get cringe, a decent story on the one side. But again, That said I think Bad Guys 2 deserves the W.

All of their live action remakes are so annoying even if some of the voice actor's contributions are enjoyable. It's particularly silly that they did that to Moana which isn't really being improved on, I guess they're just being consistent in their disgust for the old ink and cell animation.

I don't really pay attention to the Oscar's anymore nor care too much about any award shows anymore, but I'm actually happy that Kpop Demon Hunters won as well and it's so great seeing how Sony has improved so much compared to the Emoji Movie in 2017. 😁 I'm probably going to check out Zootopia 2 later on as I had stated that all and any Disney movie I watch will be watched at home from through used DVDs, VHS, and Fandango from now on, and neither Zootopia 2 nor Hoppers will be the next Tangled for me no matter how good or watchable they turned out because this time, I'm fed with with Modern Disney's corporate greed, poor decisions, and the severe fandom abuse that went on and on for years and got even worse and worse each time and this time and I'm also not just being tired of mostly cheaply made sequels and mostly cheesy teeny boppers like I was during the 2000s 😐 But I did got all impressed and delighted with Tangled in 2010 and I do still find Tangled fun and adorable to this day 🩷(But don't worry! I am a sane Tangled fan). I do have problems with Non-Disney studios as well, but from my personal experience and witnessing, hardly any rapid and terrible fans would bash and bully me or anyone else over an unpopular opinion or criticism like with what rapid Disney fans do so I do believe you for saying that you do get attacked by shills and fanbrats who refuse to accept that their precious Disney can do anything wrong and refuse to accept criticism and complaints no matter how valid, reasonable, and constructive some people are trying to make them. 🙄 You do have my support and sympathy with what you went through at Disney. 🩷

BTW, I have nothing against the respectful and open-minded Disney fans and I still find them great people. 🙂 But really, the Disney fanbrats definitely do go far with their nasty behavior many times. 😒

I actually am more of a fan of Warner Brothers and DreamWorks, but I definitely can agree that they also have their own problems, flaws, and terrible fans as well. I just thought a lot of their better movies got over-looked and underrated before 2022 and so far in both fandoms, I personally haven't been as severely bashed for having an unpopular opinion like I do with the Disney fandom.
