I always considered this to be a great occasion to do comparisons. MY Musol Yanii recreations of the original.

I admit maybe the whole idea of "recreating stuff someone else drew" is wrong, I mainly do it as a way to show that I'm improving as a graphic artist.

I wanted this to be perfect at first, but at some point, I decided to just let it go. Sure, I could sit on this for days, copy every bit that Yusuke Naora drew, but this is not what this is about. In that regard the September 2008 pic, might actually be better, some people did call it better than the original after all. I aimed to proof that I got better, yeah I did that, but to do it the right way, I shouldn't be copying the shading, I should do it my own way. Who knows, maybe in a few years I'll again remake this and do it the proper way. Or maybe stop recreating all together and create my own pic of Musol Yanii all together, who knows?
