This idea just came to me out of nowhere! I was thinking about the Fantastic Four, and then...LIGHT-BULB!
Twilight Sparkle and Reed Richards; Rainbow Dash and Johnny Storm; & Applejack and Ben Grimm...They're so much like each other! Twilight's an egghead like Reed. Dash is a hot-head like Johnny. And Applejack and Ben are like brawn over brains! I wouldn't be surprise if each were to pair up. Better yet - switch identities! 8D
As for Sue Storm, I choose Fluttershy to take her place, simply because Fluttershy seem like the type of filly who is so shy she wishes she were invisible! (She could use her fear to turn invisible! =3)
Line up:
Twilight Sparkle as "Ms. Pontastic"
Fluttershy as "The Invisible Mare"
Rainbow Dash as "The Pony Torch"
Applejack as "Apple-Thing" (or "She-Thing")

Idea for Pinkie and Rarity. If I'm not mistaken, two temporary replacements for the FF were Spiderman and She-Hulk. With Pinkie's Pinkie Sense, she'd make a prime Spiderman FF member, and She-Hulk still maintains a dignified and stylish sensibility. She was a Lawyer after all. Finding them in their FF costume probably wouldn't be too terribly hard.
