Not much is known about Bailey Barbara prior to her establishment as "The white feathered Witch". To most of the public, she had just suddenly opened a small magical artifact emporium within a small, woodland cabin in the middle of nowhere, and began advertising its stock right back in the 1980s, several hundred years ago. With the rapid advancement of the internet at the time, she gained notable traction, in both good and rather terrible ways. Good in that she garnered a healthy business from curious buyers, and terrible in that most of those who knew of her, feared her in much the same way they'd fear any other witch, for any number of paper-thin excuses. It didn't help though that the sheer power of her typical stock, her easy resupplying of it, and her fidgety behaviour around some of the items, garnered a lot of suspicion for the legality of her work. Suspicion she often handled far more playfully than someone avoiding the law should wisely do. Thus, while she made sure to maintain a decent internet presence, Bailey was more often than not written off as either a "Dangerous cryptid", "Manipulative crook", or a "Demon-worshipping Pagan", the latter of which annoying her greatly, due to her claims of being an "Arcane mage, not a Nature or divine mage". Again, 1980s, twas a rough time for mages, especially ones as openly prideful as Bailey.
That all changed however, on one particular night, in 1996. Only Bailey's account of the events that transpired remains, as the other witness at the time had long since passed away in 2064. And according to Bailey's claims, she had been working a normal shift in her workplace, when she was suddenly visited by a customer looking for help with a mysterious package he received from a "Tragic ex". The contents of the package were that of a wish scroll, a incredibly powerful iteration of the model that Bailey, to this day, refuses to share further information on. All that is known for sure, is that the scroll was so powerful, it mutated Bailey to a significant degree, transforming her from a capable mage to a full blown Goddess of Arcane magic, going as far as to grant her a seat amongst the many known pantheons, and possibly unknown. This ascension has granted her eternal life, access to any arcane spell known and unknown to society, and her quote "Personal favourite" ability: Allegedly unlimited size-shifting, allowing her to remain in her mortal form, or her much grander, full Goddess form. She has not elaborated on any more abilities her mutation has granted her, nor the parameters on how these abilities can or cannot activate.
The year is currently 2526, and as of now, the White Feathered Witch has not expressed any interest in the higher ambitions of many deities like her. Numerous cults worship her in darker spots of society and online, some with enough power to summon her directly, but any "noticeable" crimes done in her name have yet to occur, the witch claiming up and down that she has a "clean slate". Instead, she expresses interest in only the operation of her artifact emporium, the "White Feather Circle", which in the several hundred years since its founding, has since expanded into a multi-story, non-Euclidian structure within Columbia city of South Carolina, with over thousands of wares ranging from spell scrolls to ritual gear to novelty tarot cards, and beyond. Of course, scrutiny remains on Bailey Barbara as to the methods she acquires, maintains, and houses her wares.
But, by this stage, much of the law prefers to leave her be.
Alrighty, so this, is Bailey. I once had the idea for her as a moment of simple indulgence, a little chubby dove Goddess who can grow to whatever size she wants, typical macro fetish stuff. But, much like many of my characters, I ended up liking her design rather massively, enough to not want her to be just a simple one off thing. So, I built up a little bit of lore, a little bit of design refining, and now, I have a witch Goddess macro character, ready and waiting for good ol' Macro march.
You'll be seeing her a lot as this account develops, Bailey is very...like-minded to me, let's say.
