Pre-conceived notions -- if you make a judgment based on a single baseless conclusion - you shut yourself out from experiencing, learning, or just simply living. (Can you say bigotry kids?) Also, if any part of a principle is based on a lie, your point becomes pointless. These singular items can paralyze growth of mental maturity.
