I will say this. In a wasteland of generative AI diarrhea that plagues the internet now, drawing this feels like a breath of fresh air. A lot of popular media from decades ago and even ten years ago came from the writers’ or developers’ dreams, so I really don’t feel bad for taking some inspiration from my own dreams

Also thought the symbolism for Gordie being made from a child’s discarded toy just to be “reborn” as something new was a nice touch. Sorta plays on the “to be loved is to be changed” theme.
